And I will give you a new heart” Ezekiel 36:26
Pope Benedict XVI said that “Our hearts are the organ we see God with”. But because we are born into a broken world, we can not escape the wounding that happens to our hearts. The Good News is Jesus came to heal the broken hearted. Fr. Shawn will invite you to take a journey through your own heart and to ask the Lord to reveal areas that may have been wounded and to bring those
wounds to Jesus in the Eucharist that you may experience His healing gaze of love which transforms the wounded and often hardened heart into ‘a heart of flesh’.
Fr. Shawn Monahan OMV graduated from Franciscan University in 1995. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2002. Since then he has experienced a variety of apostolic ministries in parish life, retreat ministry and formation work in the seminary as Novice Master for the Oblates of the Virgin Mary. Over the years he has developed a deeper understanding of the dynamics of growth and maturity in the Christian life and how to heal the wounds that hold us back from a more abundant life.
